You can also take the courses at a college or university that is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, or by a comparable regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

If you are a member of the California State Bar, you will be exempt from the DRE's education requirement. You will only be required to pass the state exam and apply for your license.

The DRE may waive the 45-hour elective course if you have completed a college course related to real estate or law. You will have to submit your college transcripts for the course when it comes time to apply for the state licensing exam.

Colorado
